The name NuPrevento stands for a completely new generation of foods developed based on the discovery of the TKTL1 sugar metabolism by Dr. Coy. NuPrevento's motivation is to use sugar intelligently so that consumers can enjoy food without remorse and at the same time promote mental and physical performance. Who is Dr. Johannes F. Coy?
Dr.Coy founded Intelligent Sugar to educate people worldwide about the negative effects of consuming too much sugar, especially sucrose, glucose and fructose, and to highlight the healthy properties of Dr.Coy's sugars.
Dr. Coy is the discoverer of the TKTL1 gene and the associated sugar metabolism that generates the metabolites ribose and acetyl-CoA, which serve as essential building blocks for the formation of new cells and the repair of cell damage. This metabolic pathway has been confirmed by leading research groups including the 2022 Nobel Laureate in Medicine Prof. Svante Pääbo, together with other researchers, was also able to show that a mutation of the TKTL1 protein compared to the TKTL1 protein of Neanderthals and apes occurred and was so advantageous that it completely displaced the old Neanderthal variant and became established in all modern humans. The mutation in the TKTL1 variant of modern humans has changed the enzymatic properties compared to Neandertal TKTL1 in such a way that the formation of acetyl-CoA in nerve stem cells in the neocortex was made possible, so that more neurons are formed in the neocortex and the folding of the brain increased significantly. This is the basis for the higher cognitive abilities of modern humans compared to Neanderthals.
